Why you Should be using a Small amount of Toothpaste

Do you load up your toothbrush with a thick line of toothpaste? If so, you are not alone; many people do, but they shouldn't! There are many bad things that can happen as a result of using tooth much toothpaste, which might seem odd since it was meant to clean your teeth.
But just like many other things, too much of anything is a bad thing!
The more toothpaste you use, the less amount of time you are bound to brush your teeth. If you have a mouth foaming with toothpaste, it can get uncomfortable and force you to stop brushing before your two minutes are up.
You may miss food debris that is in your mouth because you cannot see it through all of the foam in your mouth from the toothpaste. This puts you at higher risk for tooth decay and gum disease.
More toothpaste does not mean cleaner teeth - it just means that you have to replace your toothpaste more often. The key to clean teeth is proper brushing technique and frequency. Even the most expensive toothpaste cannot do for your teeth what they need you to do - you are in control of the toothbrush and how well it cleans.
