How Can I Cure My Bad Breath?

Posted on 7/20/2016 by Fady Ebid
A woman suffering from bad breath!Patients can suffer from bad breath for a large variety of reasons, some medical, some dental, and some from daily use. Whatever the reason, how can you cure it?

Bad breath can make us feel awkward in social situations, none of us like it, as proven by the $10 billion dollars spent each year on mouth odor eliminating products including the large amount of varieties in gum, mints, sprays and washes.

These products may be temporarily productive, but what can you do for the long term?

Curing Bad Breath

•  Drink more water! Sounds simple, but people do not drink enough water. Water rinses your mouth eliminating food particles, and it also moistens your mouth for those who suffer from dry mouth.
•  Brush and floss your teeth daily. Food particles left in your mouth will literally begin to rot, causing bad breath.
•  Be aware of what you eat. Foods such as onions and garlic not only cause bad breath at the moment, their odors also absorb into your bloodstream and can cause bad breath to emanate from your lungs for days after.
•  Have a dental cleaning. Odor causing bacteria thrives in plaque, tartar and calculus. Removing this bacteria filled material during a dental cleaning will help.
•  Check for signs of gum disease. Gum disease is that same odor causing bacteria found in tartar and calculus that has been allowed to go just below the gum level, and continue to rage its infection and smell.
•  If you wear dentures, remove them every night for a through cleaning, food particles can remain on your dentures causing bad odors.
•  Ask your doctor about certain medical disorders. Respiratory problems, kidney and liver problems and diabetes have all been medical disorders that can contribute to bad breath.
