Foods That Can Help Naturally Whiten Your Teeth

Posted on 8/20/2016 by Fady Ebid
A single ripe pineapple fruit. There are quite a few different substances that people turn to when they want whiter teeth, but rarely is food the substance of choice. Normally people speak with the associates at the drug store to figure out which at-home kit is supposed to work best.

The problem with that, however, is that they all work differently. If you want to opt for the more natural route, then you should consider the foods you eat. Eating the right things can help brighten up your smile.

Which Foods to Have Around for a Brighter Smile

Many people give baking soda a try when it comes to whitening their teeth, but it can only go so far and the taste is a bit much for some people. If you are one that would prefer eating something that helps to brighten your teeth and tastes great, then you may want to consider some of these foods.

•  Strawberries have malic acid in them, which naturally breaks down the stains that tend to build up on your enamel.
•  Pineapple is abrasive enough to help scrub off some of the stains left behind by coffee, teas, or food.
•  Celery has fibers inside of it that brush your teeth while you eat it, plus they have a very high water content, allowing this to be a healthy snack that hydrates you and brightens your smile.
•  Dairy products help to reinforce the enamel and rebuild calcium within your teeth, bringing a natural white appearance to them.

These are some great things that you should have in your diet anyway, but getting the bonus of a whiter smile makes them a great product to have on hand. Keep your diet varied, and make sure that you include as many of these foods as you can so you have that white smile you have been looking for.
